Blessing of the Inlet Festival 

Held annually on the first Saturday in May, Belin Memorial United Methodist Church welcomes the Blessing of the Inlet Festival to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. On Saturday, May 6, 2023, festivities begin at 11 a.m., culminating in the "Blessing of the Inlet" ceremony, officiated by Rev. Dr. Mike Alexander and Rev. Marty Nason at 11:30 a.m.

Murrells Inlet July 4th Boat Parade 

Mark your calendars – the Murrells Inlet Boat Parade is back for another year of festivities! On Tuesday, July 4, 2023, boats will come together at Garden City Beach to embark on a journey through Murrells Inlet. With the theme of "American Heart, Southern Soul”, this annual event will surely be a sight to behold. 

The parade route offers several popular spots for optimum viewing, including the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, Belin United Methodist Church, and Morse Park Landing. Along with the boat decor, spectators can look forward to purchasing commemorative t-shirts for $10 each, with all proceeds going to the Belin United Methodist Church Boy Scout Troop 396.

From 10 p.m., for about 20 minutes, brilliant hues of color will cascade above your head, a breathtaking reminder of why this is one of the premier attractions in the Grand Strand. 

Plan to guarantee an enjoyable experience of the display. Arrive early and give yourself plenty of time to find parking and a place to watch from. With a selection of eateries and drinks scattered along the MarshWalk, you could even make an evening out of it and savor some delicious local delicacies while waiting for the show to begin.

Halloween on the MarshWalk

Halloween on the MarshWalk is here! Bring your kiddos, friends, and family and join us for an evening of supernatural fun! Seven MarshWalk restaurants will offer delightful food and drink specials for the occasion.

The frightful festivities begin at 5 p.m. with a trick-or-treating parade up the MarshWalk for all the little ghouls and goblins. Then at 6 p.m., a costume contest will be held in front of Drunken Jack's at the Pirate Statue. Prizes will be awarded in four categories, Most Creative, Best Group, Funniest, and Scariest – for children ages three and up.

Adults can also show off their costume prowess at 7 p.m. with an Adult Costume Contest. Five categories await People’s Choice, Best Duo/Group, Best Individual, Biggest Wow Factor, and Most Creative. More than $4,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the winning looks, plus trophies, ribbons, and more!
